I spent $50 on two litres of this stuff: brandy and whiskey. Both of them literally tasted like water with propylene glycol added, with some sort of capsaicin extract added to simulate the "burn" of alcohol (which it certainly does NOT). The "whiskey" smelled so bad I could hardly get past that. It literally smelled like a mix of turpentine, JP-5 (jet fuel), and Kiwi shoe polish. I had two drinks of each of these, and immediately poured the rest down the sink. The bottles say to refridgerate after opening; I didn't bother. I poured them out. If you're looking for the taste of real booze without the ethanol, look elsewhere. This stuff is positively unpalatable. I notice also that most of the positive reviews for this elsewhere appear to be from persons of Middle-Eastern descent, and while I respect their choice not to drink alcohol for religious reasons, in my mind, THAT would explain all the positive reviews: if you don't drink, you don't know how bad this stuff is compared to the real McCoy. This was an exppensive gamble, and with every gamble, there's a chance of losing. I lost. Sorry, Arkay. You may have had good intentions, but the execution was AWFUL. I won't be buying this again. I'd rather drink water with bitters added. That tastes better.
