Jag har haft en upptagen tid så det blir sällan att jag skriver ned vinerna här på forumet, men man får ju ta sig lite tid ibland! Det här är mest show-off, men visst har vi alla haft kvällar när vi är så fantastiskt “on point” med våra provglas?!
För den som är obekant med modellen så är det WSETs standardprovning, Systematic Approach to Tasting, som jag använder mig av i studierna för Diploma. Provningen nedan är en del av förberedelserna för examen i Sparkling Wines som går av stapeln om ett par veckor. Nu är det bara teorin som ska bankas in!
1.
Appearance: Pale lemon colour, fine bubbles.
Nose: Medium aromas of primary fruit, such as lemon zest, white grapefruit, green apples, blossom, honeysuckle and white peach, with secondary aromas of toast, white bread and almond.
Palate: Wine is dry, with high acidity, medium alcohol, and medium (-) body, texture is a bit creamy. Tight-knitted, medium flavours of primary fruit, such as lemon zest, white grapefruit, green apples, blossom, honeysuckle and white peach, with secondary flavours of toast, white bread and almond. Finish is medium and simple.
Conclusion: Good quality wine, guess is NV Champagne, BdB.
Wine: NV Pannier Extra-Brut.
2.
A: Pale lemon colour.
N: Medium (+) aromas of ripe apple, peach, apricot, lemon zest, red grapefruit, as well as secondaries of toast, pastry and brioche, hints of tertiary aromas of hazelnut and dried apple.
P: Off-dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (-) alcohol, medium body, large bubbles and frothy texture. Medium (+) flavours of ripe apple, yellow pear, lemon, red grapefruit, secondary notes of pastry and toast, with tertiary flavours of hazelnut, savoury, earthy notes.
C: Cava, NV, some age to it. "A bottle forgotten in the basement." Very good quality.
W: Cava Recaredo 2008, Gran Reserva.

A: Pale lemon colour.
N: Medium (-) aromas of primary fruit, such as green apple, pear, lemon, lime, steely notes, but very little else.
P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium (-) body, fine but quickly dissipating bubbles. Medium flavours of green apple, pear, lemon, lime, steely, stony notes, apple blossom. Finish is medium.
C: Generic bubbles of some sort, BdB? Good quality.
W: Langlois Cremant de Loire.

A: Pale lemon colour.
N: Complex, medium (+) aromas of yellow apple, pear, lemon, apricot, nectarine, brioche, pastry, biscuit, with evident tertiary aromas of toffee, coffee, dried apples, fig, raisin, hazelnuts and savory, stony notes.
P: Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium(+) body, refreshing and lingering mousse. Complex, pronounced flavours of ripe apples, over-ripe pear, lemon, apricot, nectarine, blossom, honeysuckle, toast, biscuit, brioche and tertiary flavours of toffee, coffee beans, dried apples, fig, raisin, savory, stony notes. Finish is long and with lingering acidity.
C: Outstanding quality wine. Champagne, 2004, blended.
W: 2004 Leclerc-Briant Divine. 50/50 PN, Chard.
