3rd day under cork, half the btl.
Resorted to under-ripe CF and the slight imbalance is now a major problem. Difficult to drink and not really something to promote to anyone.
Not scoring this, but performed around 75-77 tonight.
Poured out the rest. |

My fourth and (currently) last bottle.
This is a mind-bending wine of proportions. Rich, and lively, like a first kiss. Enticing.
Can't believe that this is also basically an unknown wine. The Wine Critics are obviously not doing their jobs... Shame on them, but kudos and bonus stars to the wine makers!

Stora, varm-soliga vingar fullt utbredda med allt bra som Tempranillio kan leverera med liten ålder i from av komplexitet i lager på lager och en balans mellan syror-frukt-tanniner som är som skapt i Midgård! Galet underbart!
Min sista dag i hem-karantän (för denna gången).
Jag är inte skapt för att sitta i ett litet rum!
Eftersom detta vin fortfarande är okänt betyder det helt enkelt bara att vinrecensenterna inte gör sitt jobb. Som vanligt. Lata jävla mutkolvar!

A bit clumsy and walking the final stretches of the pre-oxidization walk.
Not my thing: lacking precision, tannic backbone (already gone in this great vintage?) Mainly a warm no-name Bdx with small-hands pedigree and maturity.
Had with pizza, would have been better with mild snacks. |
2016 Pierre Prieur et Fils Sancerre

A nervy zizzzzzling Sancerre that is both a bargain and a perfect companion for a summer's day.
Medium full yellow
Nose is intense in the B-league with pronounced petroleum, some citrus, grassy aromas and all the non-cat-pee-Sb-aromas.
Palate is happy but wanting. All aspects are medium or short. But, this is still a quiet, acidic love-queen.
(If you like guys, think of this as diet Hugh Jackman.)
Everything in place, but all aspects a bit under par.
The petroleum on the nose is a cheeky (funny) thing to unleash in any blind tasting

Too young for my taste, needing to coax things out of this gnarly fella.
Quite delicious, but has some bitter acidity that either is a flaw, warrants a longer rest or just calls out for food.
There are beauty-parts here, like unsmoked pipe tobacco and a plethora of beautiful berries. However, they remain hidden.
Low on tannins, but will live long, however may not reach 90 in my World. A little weak on tannins and intensity. |

Perfect fill, cork fully soaked with mouldy top (came out in 2 pcs). Foil: that kind of thin aluminum that you cut your fingers on. Fake? But who in their right mind would fake a cheapo btl like this?
Mature Bdx colours.
Nose: Black currants galore, a bit of Bdx earth-funk and a wee dollop of oxidization.
Mouth: Fine structure with still both fruit and tertiary aromas. Mild tannins, sprightly acidity, long and with a bit of unbalance. After one-and-a-half glasses, started to get difficult to drink.
Went well with pizza.
Score is for us old Bdx lovers.
For most ppl, I think this is more towards 78 points.
Wife gasped and asked me to not even consider bringing similar things into the same room as where she's at...
Still quite a live.
Probably never was a very good wine.
(Unless this one was a fake, which would render my TN obsolete.) |

Long cork.
Beautiful light golden colour with a small formation of CO2-bubbles.
Intense loiresque Sb aromatics on the nose.
In the mouth this is electric! Kaptzzzzt!!! Dzzzt!
Absolutely fantastic!
The most elegant ballerina with strength, purpose and grace.
Need to get more bottles of this amazing juice!

Vibrant, electric, sizzling!
Transparent, minerally, intense!
Loads of sunshine and no heat.
This is what all PF should be all about.
Gives me goosebumps!

Maintaining the score for the final glass of the bottle opened a little over 1 month ago and kept under cork.
Rich nose of everything Sauternes.
On the palate, the sweetness is almost cloying and the flowery endgame is gone. Now dominated by layers of variations of crème caramel. Superbly integrated aromas and all-in-all an ultra-delicious wine.
Might be this btl (colour is is really dark amber) but the level of complexity is a bit under what could have been expected for this château in 1978.
Will try to source another, more lighter in colour. |

Cork in pristine condition.
Barely drinkable and foul.
No balance, no tannins (!) and a taste of slightly foul dried figs in vodka.
Actually: terrible.
May have been better 5 years ago, but cannot possibly have ever been good.
